Milling on a Chinese lathe

Using a ten inch swing (CQ9325) Chinese lathe to mill a flat onto a steel shaft. The 16 mm HSS slot mill is spinning at 200 RPM and taking a 0.5 mm cut. The oil/kero coolant smokes a bit, but works well and is cheap. The lathe handles this easily with no chatter or shudder occurring. I would normally use an ER32 to hold the cutter but was in a hurry and got by with the standard scroll chuck. How to mill with a lathe is described on my blog at users.picknowl.com.au
