1937 Maytag Engine model 72 rebuild #15

Yes I know it's a maytag engine rebuild, but this is a side trip you will enjoy, me and this old sherline lathe goes back a long ways, it's been one of them Don Quixote days here on the east coast of Arkansas, a little machine shop 101, you know just get the craftsman, 3" metal lathe, model no. 527.2142 oiled up, that's the name it was sold under, catalog number 9HT2142-C1, price $319.00, yes they was once a time when you could just walk right into the local hometown sears store and buy you a lathe and go home and make you some stuff, metal mostly, and it's fun if you like it, it's work if you don't like it, the project at hand is fitting crankshaft bushings into an old worn out antique, maytag model 72, 2 cylinder, two-cycle, wringer washing machine engine, 16-1 gas and oil mixture, multi-motor, i'm going to turn these bronze alloy bushings old school, you know a little file work, turn it to size?, where is that el-cheapo, made in japan, mechanical digital micrometer, no batteries, it's more than a dime store 'thing a ma jig', did I say power tools, you got to have them, leave a comment, subscribe, pass it on, and just think about it, no hone or reamer needed, not even a press, and you learned how to read a micrometer, hit replay
